We look forward to getting to know the teachers and students at the Blenheim Elementary and Middle School for the next leg of our pilot program in May (Exact Date is still TBD). Our pilots are a great way to both introduce teachers to the ways Abii can support them in the classroom, and to gather feedback from students and parents on how Abii performs. This type of feedback from the educational community will be critical in the development of our smart robot tutors, and we would love to include you! To bring Abii to your school please fill out the form here.
Here is an excerpt about them from a state education publication:
“Blenheim Elementary/Middle School (BEMS) is helping all students develop the world class skills, life, and career characteristics of the Profile of the Graduate by offering our students and faculty numerous opportunities beginning in 2014-2015 and continuing next year. In the area of World Class Knowledge, we trained two staff members in Automaticity and Robotics through the Boeing Project Lead the Way (PLTW) grant. In our first year of PLTW, 15 middle level students were provided STEM instruction. For third grade students, Challenge to Achieve (CTA) funds provided “Engineering is Elementary” – a STEM curriculum. Additionally, almost 200 laptops were purchased with CTA funds to increase the opportunity for students to utilize technology in the classroom. Teachers used this technology to conduct research, complete project-based learning activities, and conduct science simulations with the Gizmos program.”
